The Futurist Fable:
Dance Performance and Street Theater
Written by Vittorio in the 1960s, the Futurist Fable is an important piece of Gorin's poetics, obviously with an eschatological flavor. In 2009, it was transformed into a dance performance by Valeria Stefanini of the National Dance Academy and two of her fellow students. Valeria described her work as a choreographer and dancer, built around the Futurist Fable, as follows:
"I am truly thrilled to have taken part in the evening in memory of Vittorio Gorini. Gorino was an exceptional figure in our city, a man who, with his eccentricities, his inventions, his thoughts, and his ever-present critiques of society, helped give us food for thought, even on the simplest things, but always with a smile, which, as he said, "doesn't hurt...not even the sick."
Working on the accompaniment to the reading of “Favola Futurista” was a demanding task, as I had to dig deep to try to find a way to represent the decadent atmosphere that Gorino describes, without giving up his inevitable irony.
However, it was an excellent opportunity to try to understand the message that Vittorio wanted to leave us, to get to know him more deeply, to be amazed by the depth of his thought, which is expressed in such a simple way that it could escape a distracted ear.
In 2017, directed by Carla Gariazzo, the Futurist Fable was performed in Piazza Birago (PG)
with the participation of Federica Bracarda, Angelo Fanelli and Marco Giorgiano.
The Flying Bed: Street Entertainment and Theater
Writing the fairy tale “Il Letto Volante” It was the opportunity to create, with the help of director Carla Gariazzo, an entertainment program for hospitalized children and then a street theater show that toured Italy from 2013 to 2019. Presented at the Pennabilli International Street Arts Festival in 2014, the show was performed at the Caorle Theater Festival (VE) in 2014, in Perugia at the Chianelli Foundation and at the Pediatric Oncology Department of the Silvestrini Hospital for several editions during 2013 and 2014, and from 2014 onwards in countless nursery and primary schools, in local events in Umbria and Tuscany and within meetings of Local Volunteer Associations (Silvestrini Association for Pediatric Cardiology), private companies (Cenci Wineries), and countless events and festivals (Christmas in Bagnaia, Circolo S. Mariano (PG), Day of Readings Aloud in Arezzo and Sangemini (TR), Futurando Ponte Pattoli (PG), Fai La Cosa Giusta Bastia Umbra (PG), Sundays at Brufa Castle (PG), Corciano Castello DiVino (PG), etc.) and many other places.
